Reiki

The Reiki method of healing was founded on the revelation and understanding of the body’s energy system. Reiki Practitioners strive to improve health and quality of life by offering Reiki energy and restoring balance. Reiki is used in self-care, for care of one’s family, and is offered in private practice and in hospitals and medical settings as an adjunct and supportive therapy to wellness and traditional medical care. The form of Reiki that many people practice today, Usui Reiki, has been in use for over one hundred years. (https://iarp.org/history-of-reiki/)

Reiki promotes relaxation, stress reduction and symptom relief to improve overall health and well-being. It can:

  • Bring on a meditative state.

  • Foster tissue and bone healing after injury or surgery.

  • Stimulate your body’s immune system.

  • Promote natural self-healing.

  • Relieve pain and tension.

  • Support the well-being of people receiving traditional medical treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and kidney dialysis.

Studies show that reiki treatment may create feelings of:

  • Peace.

  • Relaxation.

  • Security.

  • Wellness.

Reiki sessions:

  • During the session, the client is fully clothed while comfortably reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair (Note: this form of healing can also be received remotely)

  • The client and practitioner will discuss reasons for the session and work together to form a positive intention for the session.

  • The Reiki Session may involve other healing modalities as it is determined by the client’s higher self. For example, the client may pull Archangelic Light energy, or the practitioner may also use crystals to adjust energy healing frequencies.

  • It is common to experience this as warm in temperature and clients may see different colors and/or images.  Also note, that some do not see or feel anything and yet the healing is still effective.

  • Afterwards, the client and practitioner will discuss any messages or questions that arise during the healing session.

  • After the session, some people experience an increase in symptoms or other discomfort while toxins are being released.  Typically, this is only for a brief time and most people report feeling better than ever afterward. ** It is recommended to drink extra water and take salt baths after energy healing sessions (if not medically contraindicated) to help with the clearing / detoxing process
